The results of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris are considered to be a breakthrough in climate policy. Compared to 1990, the EU aims to produce 40 per cent less greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The climate change agreement stipulates that the global warming limit should stay well below 2°C. How can this goal be achieved? Karlsruhe presents energy solutions that help us approach the climate change target. Together with partners from industry and science, the Energy Forum industry network is leading the ‘SmarterCity Karlsruhe’ flagship project on energy with the catchphrase ‘experience energy live’.

Programme

A demonstration of the various renewable energy sources, providing many practical examples, followed by on-site presentations of pilot projects by specialists on innovative power generation systems, energy-efficient industrial sites and unique architecture with highly efficient climate management, among others.
