Declaration on digital accessibility

KTG Karlsruhe Tourismus GmbH and KME Karlsruhe Marketing und Event GmbH endeavour to make their website accessible in accordance with Section 10 (1) of the State Disability Equality Act (L-BGG).
This declaration on digital accessibility applies exclusively to the website www.karlsruhe-erleben.de.

Status of compatibility with the requirements

This website is partially compatible with Section 10 (1) L-BGG due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not barrier-free for the following reasons:

Documents embedded in the website (.pdf, .doc, etc.)

Reason: The large number of documents provided, some of which are already older, has not yet made it possible to transfer them into an accessible format. Documents provided by third parties (e.g. other organisations, DMOs, associations, etc.) are also not accessible.

Videos integrated into the website

Reason: It has not yet been possible to provide the videos with an audio description.

Cartography within the website

Reason: A cartographic representation is a helpful and useful addition to information. Cartography is essentially a pictorial representation, which therefore cannot fulfil the requirements of the BITV.

Images from the shared mein.toubiz database do not always have an alternative text

Reason: The website uses the mein.toubiz database (central tourism database of the state of Baden-Württemberg) as a central element. Depending on the maintenance status, these data records are more or less accessible. The provision of alternative texts has not yet been realised for all data records.

Declaration on accessibility Eye-Able®

This website uses Eye-Able® software from Web Inclusion GmbH to provide users with a barrier-reduced view of visual content. Eye-Able® helps to adapt the website to the individual needs of visitors.

The Eye-Able® range of functions includes
• adaptive font enlargement,
• free adjustment of colour contrasts,
• a read-aloud function with integrated keyboard navigation,
• a blue filter,
• a night mode,
• an instant view for combining several functions,
• compensation of colour weaknesses and
• other functions for a customised view of the website, such as a larger mouse pointer, sans serif font and the ability to hide images, animations and sound

The corresponding menu can be opened by clicking on the Eye- Able® icon or using the keyboard shortcut "ALT + 1". All functions can also be controlled using the keyboard (instructions via "ALT + F1").

You can find more information at: eye-able.com.

Preparation of this accessibility statement.

This declaration was created on 15/03/2024.

It is based on a self-assessment in accordance with Section 4(2)(1) of the L-BGG Implementation Ordinance (DVO).
